Henderson Joins Avison Young’s Florida Capital Markets Group
Avison Young, Toronto, hired Allen Henderson as Vice President of the firm’s Capital Markets Group based in Tampa, Fla.
Henderson will work with Avison Young Principal Tim Callahan to market and sell office, industrial and net-leased assets throughout central Florida.
Henderson has more than 30 years of investment sales and development experience representing over $1.3 billion in commercial and residential transactions. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of the JLL Florida Capital Markets Group. He was a principal and partner in several real estate service and development firms and represented a variety of clients including large institutional firms such as Prudential, Aetna, MetLife, AEW and Travelers.
Marcus & Millichap Hires Lessoil to Lead Newly Launched Montreal Office
Marcus & Millichap named Thierry Lessoil regional manager of its new Montreal office. He has 30 years of commercial real estate investment sales and management experience.
Lessoil most recently served as a managing director with Sun Life Investment Management, where he was responsible for a $600-million commercial real estate portfolio that included office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties in Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax.
Working with Lessoil in Marcus & Millichap’s Montreal office will be Mickael Chaput and Michael Dermer, founders of McGill Commercial, and investment professionals Naomi Faraj, Louis Hoppenheim and Phillipe Marcotte.
Grandbridge Announces Promotions in Kansas City, Norfolk and Greenville
Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, Charlotte, N.C., promoted Alex Hilton and Rad Davenport to Vice President and Paul McDonald to Assistant Vice President.
Hilton, located in the company’s Kansas City office, has been with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital since 2013. As a vice president he is responsible for the origination of commercial and multifamily loans and sourcing institutional equity for real estate transactions.
Hilton has experience structuring transactions involving permanent financing (forward commitments and immediate fundings), construction/permanent financing, bridge and mezzanine loans and equity capital for a variety of property types, including multifamily, retail, industrial, office, medical office, self-storage, owner-user and hospitality.
Davenport, located in the company’s Norfolk, Va. office, is responsible for managing all phases of loan origination including structuring, underwriting, investor and borrower interface, and coordination towards closing. Since joining Grandbridge in 2005, Davenport has been involved in the financing of more than 500 properties representing combined debt in excess of $2.5 billion. Property types financed include apartments, retail, office, industrial, hotel and self-storage. Capital sources include life insurance companies, CMBS lenders, banks, credit unions, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA and VHDA.
McDonald, a transaction manager, is located in the company’s Greenville, S.C., office. He is responsible for all phases of production support including underwriting and packaging new loans, as well as following committed loans through the closing process. Prior to joining Grandbridge, he was an Assistant Vice President with Armada Analytics where he was responsible for underwriting multifamily assets.
