Murphy Joins Sun Life Investment Management
Sun Life Investment Management, New York, appointed Tom Murphy Head of Affiliate Development and Business Strategy.
In this new role, Murphy will be responsible for driving the global business strategy for Sun Life Investment Management’s third-party institutional business. He is uniquely poised for this role with over 25 years of global investment experience that includes building Mercer’s European Outsourced Chief Investment Officer business, and most recently overseeing its U.S. Wealth Business.
Based in Sun Life Investment Management’s Wellesley, Mass. office, Murphy joined the firm on September 4.
Sun Life Investment Management was established as a third-party asset management business in 2014 and today has assets under management of over $47 billion. The group of companies across Sun Life Investment Management provide investment solutions to over 800 institutional investors, including Total Return Fixed Income strategies, Liability Driven Investing strategies, Private Debt, Real Estate Debt and Equity and Leveraged Loan strategies.
Lamp Joins CBRE to Lead U.S. Healthcare
CBRE Group, Los Angeles, hired Mark Lamp as Executive Managing Director of its Healthcare practice, which delivers facilities management, project management, advisory, transaction and consulting services to U.S. healthcare systems.
CBRE Healthcare employs more than 3,450 professionals. The healthcare practice group manages 100 hospitals and health systems that span more than 164 million square feet and include inpatient, outpatient, acute care, long-term care, ambulatory care, research and academic centers and medical office buildings.
JLL Appoints Whittier to Lead Higher Education sales
JLL expanded its Higher Education group by adding Ross Whittier, who has 11 years of facilities management experience. In his new role, Whittier will serve as JLL Principal of Solutions Development.
Prior to joining JLL, Whittier sold more than $260 million of outsourced facilities services including custodial, grounds/landscaping, physical plant maintenance and strategic engineering services. His extensive C-Suite expertise stems from his previous roles as director of business development at Aramark, vice president of business development of National Management Resources Corporation, and various senior sales positions at Caterpillar, Inc.
