Jenkins to Lead Freddie Mac Multifamily Business Immediately
Freddie Mac, McLean, Va., named Deborah Jenkins Executive Vice President and Head of its multifamily business effective immediately.
Jenkins also assumed a role as member of the company’s Senior Operating Committee.
In September, Freddie Mac announced CEO Donald Layton plans to retire in the second half of 2019 and the elevation of former head of Freddie Mac Multifamily David Brickman to the company’s president. Since 2010, Jenkins has led Multifamily Underwriting and Credit, overseeing all credit approvals and due diligence processes, asset level securitization activities, as well as credit policies and governance for all of Multifamily’s products. This prior-approval approach has produced delinquency rates among the very lowest in the industry while ensuring mortgage liquidity across economic environments. Jenkins has also spearheaded enhancements in the company’s underwriting process specifically to support its securitization program, including its signature K and SB Deals.
Morris to Join CBRE as Americas Industrial and Logistics Leader
CBRE today announced John Morris will join the company in November 2019 as its Americas Industrial & Logistics Leader.
Morris will join CBRE next November after certain employment restrictions expire. Adam Mullen, who has been named Market Leader for the Philadelphia region effective on January 1, 2019, will continue to have strategic oversight for CBRE’s Industrial & Logistics business until Morris arrives. In addition, CBRE’s Chris Zubel will take on increased responsibilities in the I&L business.
Morris previously led Cushman & Wakefield’s Americas Industrial and Logistics business. He also helped to lead the strategy for Cushman and Wakefield’s retail business. Additionally, he oversaw the Incentives Practice, which negotiated and secured relocation and investment incentives for clients from state and local government agencies.
Morris has been an industry leader in network design and site selection for fulfillment, distribution and manufacturing operations. He has an extensive background in leading complex supply chain strategy initiatives, integrating critical location analysis and helping companies transform their logistics network into a competitive advantage.
Hospitality Properties Trust Appoints Donley CFO and Treasurer Following Kleifges’s Retirement
Hospitality Properties Trust, Newton, Mass., appointed Brian Donley Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer effective January 1.
Donley has been HPT’s controller since 2007 and has served in various finance and accounting leadership roles at The RMR Group since 1997. He has more than two decades of commercial real estate experience, including expertise in corporate finance and reporting, mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions and compliance.
Donley succeeds Mark Kleifges, who is retiring and therefore resigning from his positions with both HPT and RMR effective December 31. Kleifges has been with both HPT and RMR since 2002. He will remain a non-executive RMR employee until June 30, 2019.
ASB Names Matthews Vice President in San Francisco Office
ASB Real Estate Investments, Washington, D.C., hired Kavita Mathews as a Vice President based in its San Francisco office.
Mathews will take a lead role in deal sourcing and underwriting transactions, asset management and developing new partner and broker relationships across the western U.S. She joined ASB from CIM Group, Los Angeles, where she was an Associate Vice President-Investments. Previously she worked in the real estate division of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and as a banking analyst at Goldman Sachs in the company’s New York real estate group.
