Arbor Appoints O’Brien Senior Vice President of Agency Production
Arbor Realty Trust, Uniondale, N.Y., appointed Bill O’Brien Senior Vice President of Agency Production. He will develop and grow Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac production pipelines as well as agency relationship management.

O’Brien has more than 25 years of commercial real estate lending experience. For the past 10 years, he served as Fannie Mae’s Director of Multifamily. In this role, he managed several national accounts, including two top-10 Delegated Underwriting and Servicing lenders. Prior to that he worked at Capmark Finance Inc./GMAC Commercial Mortgage. During his 12-year tenure there, he advanced to serve as Senior Vice President, Director of Underwriting and Origination for a West Coast regional office.

Hale Joins Avison Young in Phoenix
Avison Young hired tenant-representation specialist Wally Hale in its Phoenix office as a Principal.

Hale will focus on representing his occupier clientele and expanding the company’s institutional tenant-representation advisory services and market share across the Phoenix region. He was most recently Managing Director for JLL in Phoenix.

During his 35-year career, Hale has negotiated lease and sale transactions covering nearly 10 million square feet. In addition to acting for tenants, he has represented several large landlords and developers in significant office leasing transactions. He has significant experience in strategy implementation, financial analysis and other types of real estate transactions. His notable clients include MFS Investment Management Services, UPS, Zurich Insurance and TATA Consultancy Services.

Prior to joining JLL, Hale held senior management and broker positions with Insignia, Koll Company and CBS Property Services.

CAPREIT Promotes Two to Corporate Vice President Positions
CAPREIT, Bethesda, Md. promoted two associates, Dawn Coggins and Danielle Cooney.

Coggins was elevated to Senior Vice President of Property Management and Cooney to Vice President of Operations. Coggins previously served as Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region and Cooney as an Assistant Vice President.

In her new role, Coggins’ responsibilities will include executing the oversight and operation management of CAPREIT’s entire portfolio. One of her main goals will be to promote optimal performance among property managers nationwide while providing strategic leadership and guidance for property operations, financial planning, product marketing and staff selection and management.

Coggins has been with CAPREIT for 24 years. Her former responsibilities as Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region included managing CAPREIT’s property management operations and activities within the specific market.

As part of her new role, Cooney will design strategies to improve business performance. She will also oversee a portfolio of properties and be responsible for maximizing property and team performance.

Harrison Street Names Nahumyk Chief Accounting Officer
Harrison Street Real Estate Capital LLC, Chicago, named Erin Nahumyk its chief accounting officer.

In this new role, Nahumyk will handle all aspects of Harrison Street’s accounting, tax and treasury management functions. She has nearly two decades of experience in finance and accounting, including financial reporting, accounting policy, assurance and financial and accounting consulting within the real estate sector.

Nahumyk joined Harrison Street from Jones Lang LaSalle, where she served as executive vice president and chief accounting officer.
