Walker & Dunlop Adds Gilmore
Walker & Dunlop, Bethesda, Md., hired John Gilmore IV as Senior Vice President and Managing Director in its Multifamily Finance group.

Gilmore is focused on the affordable multifamily space and has extensive experience sourcing loans for execution through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD.

Based in the company’s New York office, Gilmore will drive multifamily loan origination growth in one of the most important rental housing markets in the country.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Gilmore was a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in the Community Development and Investment group within KeyBank Real Estate Capital. While at KeyBank, he was a member of the management team that expanded the bank’s affordable housing activity to all 50 states. In this position he originated nearly $1 billion of new mortgage debt. He is also experienced in complex deal structures including structured credit facilities, tax-exempt bonds and federal and state tax credits.

Korren joins Avison Young in New York City
Avison Young hired commercial real estate veteran Todd Korren as a Principal in its New York office.

Korren will focus on tenant and landlord representation as well as assist clients with the leasing and strategic planning of commercial real estate properties throughout New York City. He has more than three decades of commercial real estate experience, most recently as a Principal and director of leasing of EVO Real Estate Group, prior to the firm’s merger with Herald Square Properties.

During his career, Korren has negotiated more than 1,450 leases representing 7.5 million square feet and more than 45 acquisitions and dispositions valued in excess of $2.4 billion. He has also acted as the leasing agent for 26 Manhattan buildings totaling more than 11 million square feet and 10 buildings nationally spanning more than 3 million square feet.

During his tenure with leasing and property management firm EVO, Korren oversaw new business development, transaction management and lease negotiations, broker training and marketing. Prior to that, he was executive managing director at Massey Knakal, as well as a Principal and director of leasing at Savanna Real Estate Fund. He has also held positions with Swig Equities, The Witkoff Group, Insignia/ESG (now CBRE) and Structure Tone.

King & Spalding Adds Three Transaction Lawyers as Partners
Law firm King & Spalding has added three experienced real estate transaction lawyers as partners to its New York office. The trio handle a wide range of real estate deals for private equity investors, family offices, financial institutions and other capital sources. Erik Anderson, Elizabeth Gable and Jared Zaben joined King & Spalding from the New York office of Riemer & Bernstein.
