JLL Names Tse General Counsel
JLL, Chicago, appointed Alan Tse Global General Counsel and Corporate Secretary effective June 27. He is responsible for JLL’s legal and compliance functions.
Tse will operate from the company’s Chicago office. He succeeds Mark Ohringer, who is retiring.
Most recently, Tse was general counsel, corporate secretary and an executive committee member at Petco, San Diego. Prior to joining Petco, he served as general counsel and an executive committee member at Churchill Downs following a role as general counsel at LG Electronics Mobilecomm.
Torres Joins Hunt Mortgage Group as Senior Managing Director
Hunt Mortgage Group, New York, hired Precilla Torres as Senior Managing Director and Head of its Proprietary Lending Group. She will work from the firm’s New York office.
Torres joined Hunt Mortgage Group from Ares Management LLC, where she was most recently the Co-Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of the firm’s commercial mortgage-backed securities platform. During her time as Co-Head of Ares’ commercial mortgage-backed securities group, she jointly developed the business plan for their CMBS platform and was responsible for its maiden direct origination efforts.
Previously, Torres was head of capital markets of Ares’ Commercial Real Estate Debt Group. Earlier in her career, she held various senior leadership positions covering loan and structured product platforms at firms including Citigroup, Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse, Hudson Realty and NewOak Capital. She has been involved in both buy-side and sell-side markets, with functions spanning capital markets, origination, commercial real estate credit, capital raising, and distribution, primarily in the U.S. but also in Asia.
Duvall Joins NorthMarq Capital’s Kansas City office
NorthMarq Capital announced John Duvall will join its Kansas City production team as vice president. He will facilitate debt and equity placements for the entire capital stack, including life companies, CMBS platforms, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and local, regional and national banks.
Prior to NorthMarq, Duvall worked on a two-man production team as part of Freddie Mac’s Southeast Region Multifamily Group, primarily focusing on originating multifamily mortgage loans, including contact with seller, preliminary sizing per Freddie Mac credit policies and the quoting and loan structuring process (including pricing and negotiation of loan terms). During his nearly four years with the Freddie Mac team, Duvall assisted his team in closing more than 290 loans with an unpaid balance exceeding $5.8 billion.
