Greystone Expands Lending Presence in Miami, Seattle
Greystone, New York, expanded its lending presence in south Florida and Seattle by adding Federico Calaf and Bryan Foxley.
Calaf will originate loans in south Florida, particularly for multifamily small balance lending. Over the course of nearly two decades he has worked in commercial real estate finance in Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Prior to joining Greystone, he was a principal at Miramar Asset Management, where he led deal sourcing, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and financing. He also held leadership positions in the commercial real estate and construction loans divisions of Banco Santander and Doral Financial Corp.
Foxley will be a Managing Director based in Greystone’s Kirkland, Wash. office. He has 33 years of experience across multiple lending platforms. Previously, he was vice president of commercial real estate finance at Intervest, a bank-owned mortgage banking company, where he managed the northwest regional lending office. He also has worked in direct lending for banks, a multifamily lender, and a life company. Foxley began his career as a mortgage banker and a correspondent for numerous life insurance companies.
Cushman & Wakefield Expands Capital Markets Platform with Mitchell and Rice
Cushman & Wakefield added James Mitchell and Erin Rice to its Automotive Advisory Group. The pair will provide dealership capital services involving buy/sell transactions, financing solutions and dealership real estate.
James Mitchell, Executive Managing Director, has worked in the automotive industry for more than 20 years. He has provided buy/sell and real estate services to public and private dealers representing the top 125 groups in the United States, including Sonic Automotive and Lithia. Additionally, he has represented clients including Chrysler, Nissan, Ford and Volkswagen. Mitchell has completed nearly $500 million in transactions in the past six years. He joins the firm from CBRE, where he was Senior Vice President.
Erin Rice, Vice President, also joined the firm from CBRE, where she was responsible for negotiating buy/sell transactions, finance structuring and creative real estate solutions. Prior to CBRE, she was a Portfolio Manager/AVP at Capital Automotive REIT, where she managed a client portfolio valued at approximately $1.3 billion. Rice has more than 12 years of automotive real estate experience.
Ladder Capital Corp Appoints Steiner To Board Of Directors
Real estate investment trust Ladder Capital Corp., New York, appointed Jeffrey Steiner to its Board of Directors. He will serve on the board’s Compensation Committee.
Steiner is a Partner at law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP and has more than 35 years of experience in real estate, real estate finance and real estate capital markets transactions. He currently serves as the Global Head of the Real Estate Finance Group of McDermott Will & Emery and a member of the firm’s Management Committee.
