JLL Appoints Taylor to Lead Healthcare Group
JLL, Chicago, named Richard Taylor head of its healthcare real estate practice.
Based in Washington, D.C., Taylor will lead more than 2,100 professionals across the U.S. in his new role as Executive Managing Director, Healthcare.
Taylor co-founded the JLL Healthcare Solutions group in 2010. Prior to this, he was a founding member and senior executive at Oxford Specialty Management. He worked with academic hospitals to develop case rate payment systems for the treatment of several complex healthcare diagnoses. He also previously helped grow healthcare practice groups at Cushman & Wakefield and Newmark Knight Frank.
JLL also recently hired George Mills as Director of Technical Operations. Mills, a 33-year healthcare industry veteran, is the former Director of the Department of Engineering at The Joint Commission. Earlier this year, former Kindred Healthcare executive Tony Disser joined JLL as an advisor to help bridge the gap between operations and patient care.
Kimco Realty Promotes Decker, Thayer
Kimco Realty Corp., New Hyde Park, N.Y., promoted Carmen Decker to President, Western Region, and Kathleen Thayer to Corporate Vice President, Corporate Accounting.
As Western Region President, Decker will oversee a portfolio of more than 100 shopping centers comprising over 20 million square feet and will be responsible for strategic planning, asset management, leasing, property management, redevelopment, acquisitions and dispositions for the region. She joined Kimco in 2011 as Director of Real Estate, and most recently served as Vice President of Leasing and Asset Management for the Pacific Northwest Sub-Region.
As Corporate Vice President, Corporate Accounting, Thayer will oversee Kimco’s day-to-day property accounting activities, financial reporting and SEC compliance, while also directing the contract administration and accounts payable departments. She joined Kimco in 2006 and previously served as Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager after spending seven years in the public accounting sector.
Thayer is a Certified Public Accountant.
Levy Joins Barry Slatt Mortgage’s San Diego Office
Barry Slatt Mortgage added Samuel Levy as Vice President in its San Diego office.
Levy joined Barry Slatt Mortgage with five years of experience as a commercial mortgage banker in addition to having practiced law as a business and real estate attorney. His experience includes representing clients on commercial transactions ranging from $1 million to $90 million on all property types while utilizing a full range of funding sources.
