MBANow: MBA SVP Bill Killmer on MAA Action Week

The Mortgage Bankers Association released two new MBANow videos featuring MBA Senior Vice President of Legislative and Political Affairs Bill Killmer, who discusses the MBA Mortgage Action Alliance “Action Week” (Oct. 2-6).

MAA Action Week is an event dedicated to helping real estate finance professionals learn how to become more engaged in political advocacy that supports the real estate finance industry.  

Goals during this year’s Action Week are to surpass the year-end MAA membership goal of 20,000 and to exceed 1,000 downloads of the MAA App.  

“Policymakers need to know what you do locally to help families buy their first home, or refinance their mortgage,” Killmer said. “How you work to create rental housing, or how you finance the buildings where your neighbors work or shop. From single-family to commercial and multifamily, from loan originators to investors, we are the force that sustains a safe and affordable real estate finance system, and that message resonates with elected officials. We impact people, jobs and the nation’s economy.”
