Berkadia Names Provinse Head of Mortgage Banking
Berkadia, New York, named Hilary Provinse Executive Vice President and Head of Mortgage Banking.
Provinse will oversee 130 experienced mortgage bankers in 31 offices across the country. She will be a member of Berkadia’s management committee and report to Executive Vice President and Head of Production Ernie Katai.
Provinse joined Berkadia from Fannie Mae after a 15-year career, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of Multifamily Customer Engagement.
Most recently at Fannie Mae, Provinse led 85 professionals in offices across the country, overseeing all of Fannie Mae’s multifamily debt lending activities and customer engagement. Prior to Fannie Mae, Provinse spent nearly a decade on Wall Street in investment banking and fixed income trading at Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns.
CBRE Appoints Grantham Global President of Project Management
CBRE appointed Curt Grantham Global President of Project Management. He will drive strategy and growth for CBRE’s project management businesses across all geographic regions.
Grantham has been with CBRE for 33 years and has served in leadership roles in both the company’s geographic businesses and lines of business. Most recently, he led CBRE’s GWS Client Solutions organization globally, which encompasses contracting and pricing as well as client strategy and management consulting teams.
Prior to his GWS client solutions role Grantham was President of the Americas for CBRE’s GWS business. He will remain based in Charlotte, N.C.
Avison Young opens new San Jose/Silicon Valley office
Avison Young opened a new office in San Jose/Silicon Valley, Calif, led by Gregg von Thaden.
Von Thaden will coordinate the company’s strategic direction throughout San Jose and the Silicon Valley. He brings 29 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young, most recently as an executive vice-president at Colliers International in San Jose. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, venture capital-backed start-up companies and institutional owners of commercial real estate. He has negotiated $8 billion worth of sales and leasing transactions spanning 31 million square feet on behalf of institutional and private clients.
Brian Mason and Ryan Slater also became Avison Young Principals. Mason will lead the office’s capital markets practice and play a leading role in the growth of Avison Young’s Asian-client services and inbound capital from Asia. Slater will grow the company’s landlord-and-tenant representation services business line in San Jose/Silicon Valley.
Also joining the new San Jose/Silicon Valley office are Jennifer Vaux as Vice President of Research for Northern California and Jennifer Doherty as Vice President of Marketing for San Jose/Silicon Valley.
All five new members join Avison Young from Colliers International in San Jose.
