Carlton Fields Adds Structured Finance Securities Specialist Doll in New York
Former Kroll Bond Rating Agency Managing Director Troy Doll joined Carlton Fields’ New York office as a finance attorney. He is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Finance practice group.
A 20-year veteran as a real estate attorney and banker in the commercial real estate finance sphere, Doll is experienced in managing large complex transactions, including workouts, restructurings, securitizations, syndications and other structures. His experience includes commercial mortgage-backed securities, commercial real estate, subordinate debt and collateralized loan obligation transactions, including the development of criteria for CRE CLO’s and non-traditional asset classes and securitizations.
Doll began his legal career with law firms Blank Rome LLP and Dechert LLP before going in-house as corporate counsel with Marriott International, and following that, serving as director with Standard & Poor’s Rating Services and vice president of Lehman Brothers, Inc.
Rogozinski Rejoins Greystone
Greystone, New York, announced Ken Rogozinski has joined Greystone Bassuk as an Executive Managing Director.
In this newly created role, Rogozinski will help expand Greystone Bassuk’s Agency origination capabilities. He will also help build structured debt products and specialized financing solutions for real estate owners and developers seeking debt and equity for construction and portfolio refinancing of multifamily and mixed-use assets.
Rogozinski was most recently Chief Credit Officer and a co-founder of Dreadnought Capital Management, an SEC-registered investment advisor. There, he focused on direct lending and debt investing in public-private housing and project finance, overseeing more than $1.1 billion in deployed capital. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director and Co-head of Municipal Structured Products at JP Morgan and as Co-head of the Municipal Housing Group at Morgan Stanley.
Rogozinski also previously was a Vice President at Greystone, where he was responsible for securitization programs for student loans, municipal housing bonds and other tax-exempt assets.
Former Fannie Mae Associate General Counsel Todd Joins Thompson Hine Law Firm
Thompson Hine hired Sara Todd for its real estate practice as counsel in Washington, D.C. She will focus on expanding the firm’s commercial mortgage and warehouse lending practices, with an emphasis on agency lending.
Todd joins Thompson Hine after more than 10 years as Associate General Counsel at Fannie Mae. Her role at Thompson Hine will allow her to continue the multifamily housing and mortgage lending work she pursued at Fannie Mae, where she was involved in most aspects of Fannie Mae’s multifamily housing finance activities through its Multifamily Mortgage Business, including lender contracts and loan documents for first mortgage and mezzanine financing, as well as market-rate equity investments and multifamily asset management.
Todd will advise on real estate and corporate matters, including mortgage financing, regulatory compliance, risk management and low-income housing tax credit transactions.
