Walker & Dunlop Hires Butler in Washington D.C. 
Walker & Dunlop, Bethesda Md., hired Jamie Butler as managing director in its Capital Markets group, based in the company’s headquarters.

Butler will source equity and debt for development projects and stabilized assets across all property types, focusing on the Mid-Atlantic region. He has arranged financing for commercial real estate transactions totaling over $10 billion in his career.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Butler was Senior Vice President with CBRE, where he arranged equity, mezzanine and senior debt through a wide range of capital sources. He also served as vice president in the Capital Markets group at Cushman & Wakefield (formerly Cassidy Turley).

Hunt Mortgage Group Opens Phoenix Office
Hunt Mortgage Group, New York, opened a production office in Phoenix hired Matthew Frank to oversee the effort.

Frank was named Vice President in Hunt Mortgage Group’s Small Balance Loan Group. He will source and close Freddie Mac small balance loans nationwide, focusing on the southwestern United States.

“Phoenix is a quality market with strong dynamics and solid underlying real estate fundamentals,” said Hunt Mortgage Group Senior Managing Director Rick Warren. “A local presence enables us to better serve the rapidly growing needs of area developers and investors.”

Prior to joining Hunt Mortgage Group, Frank was a Commercial Loan Officer at AlaskaUSA Federal Credit Union. Before that he was Vice President of Commercial Lending at Unison Bank. Earlier in his career Frank held positions with Unum Group, Infinity Software Solutions and Union Bank of California

CBRE Adds Multifamily Practice In Jacksonville, Fla.
CBRE Group, Los Angeles, formed a team in Jacksonville, Fla., co-lead by Senior Vice President Cliff Taylor and Vice President Joseph Ayers.

Taylor and Ayers will partner with CBRE’s multifamily team in central Florida led by Vice Chairman Shelton Granade and Senior Vice President Luke Wickham in Orlando.

Taylor has more than 14 years of experience in investment sales as part of CBRE’s investment properties platform and has been involved in listing and selling more than $1.5 billion of transactions throughout Florida.

Ayers has more than 15 years on the leasing and development side. He returns to CBRE from Stream Realty Partners, where he built an office property practice before spearheading the industrial investment and development team. Prior to that, he was an office property specialist with CBRE on teams in Denver and Jacksonville.

Granade was responsible for more than $900 million in multifamily investment sales throughout central Florida last year. Wickham joined CBRE in 2007 and has been working in conjunction with Granade.
