NorthMarq Capital Promotes Cohen; Hires Pankratz

NorthMarq Capital promoted Gary Cohen to managing director. In his new role, he will oversee the firm’s New Jersey production team in providing debt and equity solutions through Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, life insurance correspondents, commercial mortgage-backed securities lenders and other lending institutions.

Prior to joining NorthMarq Capital in 2011, Cohen ran Centerline Capital Group’s New Jersey office focusing primarily on Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae debt originations.

NorthMarq Capital also announced that Carl Pankratz has joined the firm as Vice President operating out of the firm’s Dallas office.

Pankratz will focus on sourcing debt and equity opportunities for all product types throughout the country. Prior to joining NorthMarq, he was a Vice President and originator at Hunt Mortgage, where he was responsible for sourcing debt via Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and via a balance sheet program.

Cushman & Wakefield Hires Hubbard to Head Hospitality
Cushman & Wakefield appointed Jon Hubbard to head up its Europe-Middle East-Africa Hotels and Hospitality business.

Hubbard, who will start at Cushman & Wakefield this summer, joins from JLL, where he was Head of Investor Services EMEA for its Hotels & Hospitality Group. Before joining JLL in 2005, he was head of Hotels at Atisreal (part of BNP Paribas), coordinating agency, advisory and valuation work across Europe.

Hubbard will be responsible for leading and growing Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA hospitality practice. He has nearly 30 years of EMEA hotel market experience across multiple service lines, advising on everything from economy hotels to international five star properties, and from single assets to large portfolios.
