McAllister Joins JLL as Executive Vice President

JLL, Chicago, hired Patrick McAllister as an Executive Vice President in San Francisco.

McAllister has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, and comes to JLL from Prudential Mortgage Capital Company. While there, he worked directly with government-sponsored entities Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

A10 Capital Grows Origination Team in Boston, Phoenix and L.A.
A10 Capital, Boise, Idaho, hired three senior commercial real estate executives to expand loan originations across key U.S. regions.

Dan Adkinson, a credit specialist, joined A10 as Executive Vice President based in Boston. In 2004, he co-founded NewStar Financial, a specialty finance company where he served as the Head of Commercial Real Estate and Chief Credit Officer for CRE.

Prior to NewStar, Adkinson spent a decade at JP Morgan Asset Management as a senior manager in fixed income and the Global Real Assets group.

Steven Burgoyne, who has over 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate investment and finance, was named Executive Vice President and will be based in Phoenix. Prior to joining A10, he was senior vice president for JRE Capital in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he headed the private money division and was responsible for client development as well as sourcing loan opportunities.

Jason Gaffner, who joins A10 Capital from George Smith Partners, was named Executive Vice President and will be based in Los Angeles. At George Smith, Gaffner originated loans in the $2 million to $20 million range. Prior to George Smith Partners, he spent several years with Meridian Capital Group as an associate in its Los Angeles office.

Former HUD Multifamily Representative Thurman Joins Greystone’s FHA Underwriting Team
Greystone, New York, hired Scott Thurman as Senior Managing Director and Chief Underwriter within its FHA lending team.

Thurman will focus on multifamily, affordable and healthcare property transactions as well as various strategic initiatives to further streamline the FHA underwriting process for Greystone clients.

A 25-year FHA industry veteran, Thurman most recently served as Senior Managing Director and Chief Underwriter at ACRE Capital. Prior to ACRE, he was Deputy and Chief Underwriter at CWCapital, which was acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2012. He has overseen the underwriting of over $2 billion in FHA-insured loans in those roles. He was part of the original FHA-Lender team that re-invented FHA’s approach to financing residential care facilities.

Thurman began his career at HUD, where he served as Multifamily Housing Representative and Information Specialist. During nearly a decade in this role, he was instrumental in developing HUD’s first streamlined processing for refinancing apartments. He was also part of a national re-engineering team that helped lay the groundwork for the MAP program.
