COMBOG Nominating Committee Request

The MBA Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors Nominating Committee is soliciting member recommendations for individuals to serve on the Board beginning in October.

“This process determines the member leadership for MBA’s commercial/multifamily membership,” said Bob Stout, President and CEO of Q10 Capital LLC and Chair of the COMBOG 2017 Nominating Committee. “Consider leaders in the industry who would fit for a role on the Board of Governors and provide such names as soon as possible.”

In accordance with the COMBOG bylaws, individuals should be able to speak on behalf of their company and be actively engaged in the business of their firm. This generally means chief executive officers or other senior officers.
The following should be considered when recommending candidates:

1. Active participation in MBA through councils, committees, task forces, working groups or other MBA activities;
2. leadership in the industry;
3. geographical, age, ethnic and gender diversity; and
4. the nature of the business in which the individual is employed, e.g. originator, lender, investor, etc.

Only particular member categories are expected to have vacancies in the coming fiscal year. MBA anticipates three to four openings in COMBOG’s Mortgage Banker category.

When making your recommendations, provide the name, title, company contact information, business category outlined above and reason for recommending this person to Cref1@mba.org by July 7.
