Brooks Named RED Mortgage Capital President
RED Mortgage Capital LLC, Columbus, Ohio, named Trent Brooks it new President and National Head of Production.
Brooks joined RED on December 11th. He has more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in multifamily housing. He will have offices in both Newport Beach, Calif. and Columbus.
Prior to joining RED, Brooks co-founded Sierra Capital Partners and GlenBrook Capital Advisors. Most recently he served as Executive Vice President and Western Region Director at Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC. Previously he was Chief Operating Officer at Lyon Communities and President of Bankers Mutual, where he served for more than 15 years.
Bellwether Enterprise Appoints Lee New Senior Vice President in Los Angeles
Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC, Cleveland, appointed Deanna Lee Senior Vice President in its Los Angeles office.
Lee has nearly two decades of experience in mortgage lending. As Senior Vice President, she will join the thirteen team members currently in the Los Angeles office, which Bellwether Enterprise formed in March. During the expansion, the company added 23 new hires to the newly formed Los Angeles office and the existing Irvine and San Diego offices. Among her primary responsibilities, Lee will manage and support the Southern California closing team as they work to arrange financing solutions for a wide-range of borrowers with diverse and unique needs. She will also serve as a nationwide resource on new loan related activities.
In her former role, Lee served as Associate General Counsel, Vice President of Commercial Mortgage Lending at AIG Asset Management, a subsidiary of American International Group. In this role, she led legal supervision of commercial mortgage loan originations and purchases, commercial mortgage-backed securities and loan modifications-drafting, negotiating and reviewing term sheets and applications relating to commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans up to $1 billion dollars in value.
Additionally, Lee served as a Senior Associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP where she represented buyers and sellers-including joint ventures-in connection with the acquisition and sale of a variety of properties. While there, she also represented lenders and borrowers in connection with real estate secured financings and drafted, negotiated, and reviewed loan documents in connection with commercial loan transactions.
HFF Opens Seattle office
Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, expanded its Pacific Northwest presence by opening an office in Seattle with an immediate focus on debt, equity placement and investment advisory services.
Senior Managing Director Thomas Wilson, formerly in HFF’s Portland office, will handle the day-to-day operations of the Seattle office in conjunction with senior managing director Ira Virden. The pair will jointly lead the firm’s Pacific Northwest platform in Portland and Seattle. Executive managing directors Jody Thornton and Matthew Lawton will help oversee the Pacific Northwest expansion from their respective offices in Dallas and Chicago.
The Seattle office will also include managing director Evan Kovac and directors Dave Otis and Christopher Ross on the investment advisory team and Scott Gilson on the debt placement team.
