Hunt Mortgage Group Opens Office in Buffalo, N.Y.

Hunt Mortgage Group, New York, opened a production office in Buffalo, N.Y. and hired Zach Casale to oversee the effort.

Casale was named Director of Mortgage Banking. He will source and close deals of all kinds across upstate New York. Hunt Mortgage Group has three main business lines: conventional loans, small balance loans and affordable housing lending.

Prior to joining Hunt Mortgage Group, Casale spent six years as a mortgage banker serving as Managing Director for Originations for Largo Real Estate Advisors, Inc.

Barry Slatt Mortgage Expands San Francisco Office
Barry Slatt Mortgage added loan production and supporting staff in its San Francisco office.

Senior Vice Presidents Andrew Mekjavich and Ryan Gray as well as Commercial Mortgage Banker Jeff Matlock moved to San Francisco from the firm’s Walnut Creek, Calif. office.
Mekjavich, Gray and Matlock joined Barry Slatt Mortgage Principals Kenneth Fox and Paul Schroeder in the new office.

DeMarco to Become Mack-Cali CEO
Mack-Cali Realty Corp., Jersey City, N.J., said that President Michael DeMarco will also become the firm’s chief executive officer.

In addition, Mitchell Rudin will become Mack-Cali’s vice chairman effective immediately.

DeMarco has more than 30 years of commercial real estate industry experience. He joined Mack-Cali in 2015 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that he held leadership roles with Vornado Realty Trust, Fortress Investments and Lehman Brothers Real Estate Investment Banking Group.
