JLL Appoints Severino Chief Economist, Holland Managing Director
JLL, Chicago, appointed Ryan Severino Chief Economist to direct the firm’s macroeconomic analysis and property forecasting.

Severino will analyze global and regional macroeconomic, demographic and industry trends to predict implications for the commercial real estate market. He will also produce customized advisory projects for clients and be a member of JLL’s research leadership team.

Severino’s research has appeared in publications including The Real Estate Finance Journal and Wharton Real Estate Review. He has also been cited in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Economist and Financial Times.He joined JLL from Reis Inc., New York, where he served as Director of Research and Senior Economist. He also held research leadership roles at MetLife Real Estate Investments, Starwood Capital Group and Prudential Real Estate Investors. 

JLL also hired seniors housing and healthcare lending specialist Allison Holland as a Managing Director in Dallas. 

Holland will provide debt and equity placement and advisory services for seniors housing and healthcare assets across the country. She joins a national team of debt and equity and investment sales experts with access to all aspects of the capital platform including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA/HUD. 

Holland has 12 years of healthcare-related commercial real estate lending experience and has originated nearly $1.5 billion in debt since 2011. 

Greystone Adds Multifamily Sales Advisory Team in Austin, Texas
Greystone, New York, expanded its Real Estate Advisors group by adding a team in Austin, Texas. 

Joe James and Kent Myers joined Greystone as Managing Directors, bringing a combined 25 years of conventional multifamily sales experience to the company. Joining Greystone from Marcus & Millichap, James and Myers have advised on the sale of over 28,500 multifamily units combined. Their team will continue to focus on the Texas market.

James has more than 13 years of Texas-based commercial real estate experience and has closed more than 16,500 units valued at more than $970 million in multifamily transactions for both institutional and private sellers across Texas since 2005. 

Myers has more than 11 years of Texas-based commercial real estate experience. During his Marcus & Millichap career he closed more than 12,000 units in multifamily transactions in markets such as Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio and Houston as well as multiple secondary markets throughout Texas. 

Situs RERC Hires Brink to Lead Expansion of RERC’s European Valuation Management & Advisory Offering 
Situs RERC, Houston, hired Taco Brink as Managing Director and head of Situs RERC Europe effective October 12. 

Brink will be responsible for developing and expanding Situs’ valuation management and advisory services in Europe as well as playing an executive global role in Situs RERC’s expansion.

Situs RERC’s business is centered around valuation management and advisory services, independent fiduciary services and valuation benchmarking, as well research and publication offerings to the global commercial real estate industry.

Based in London, Brink has more than 25 years of valuation and consulting experience. He was most recently European Head of Valuation Management for Altus, and prior to that he led DTZ Pan-EU’s International Valuation Coordination Group.

Seidenberg Launches New Firm: P.O.C.
Lori Seidenberg formed a new firm, P.O.C. Risk Management and Insurance Consulting, which  specializes in risk management and insurance consulting and emphasizes real estate habitational and commercial exposure. 

Seidenberg  started her career at Allstate Insurance in 1989 then entered the lender/servicer arena in 2004 as Vice President of Operations at the PNC ARCS Commercial Mortgage subsidiary Topanga Insurance, where she was responsible for all pre-funding insurance reviews and oversight of the insurance servicing portfolio. 

From 2005 through 2008 Seidenberg was Senior Insurance Risk Manager at Fannie Mae’s Housing and Community Development responsible for risk and insurance oversight of their entire multifamily portfolio, including rewriting the guide post-Hurricane Katrina. In 2008 she joined Centerline Capital Group as Corporate Risk Manager, overseeing the insurance process and procedures for both origination and servicing portfolios. She worked for both Hunt Mortgage Group and Pacific Servicing after Hunt Cos. acquired Centerline Capital Group in 2013. 

An active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, Seidenberg was the 2010 and 2011 Vice Chair of MBA’s Insurance Stakeholders. She lobbied on Capitol Hill during the most recent reauthorization of TRIA.
