Green Street Advisors, Hunt Mortgage Group, Walker & Dunlop

Green Street Advisors, Newport Beach, Calif., promoted two members of the firm’s executive team, Craig Leupold and Jim Sullivan.

Leupold was promoted to Chief Executive Officer from President of Green Street Advisors. He is a 23-year veteran of the firm.

Sullivan, a 22-year veteran of the firm, became President of Advisory & Consulting from Managing Director of Green Street’s Advisory Group since 2014. 

Green Street Co-founder Mike Kirby will continue to play an active role leading the firm’s research efforts as Chairman and Director of Research. 

Savarese Joins Hunt Mortgage Group as Vice President 
Hunt Mortgage Group, New York, announced that Joseph Savarese joined the firm as a Vice President in the Proprietary Loan Group, the firm’s balance sheet lending platform that launched in 2015.  

In this role, Savarese will underwrite loans for clients nationwide.  He joined Hunt from ACRES where he served as Vice President of Asset Management and was responsible for co-managing ACRES’ commercial real estate loan portfolio. 

Prior to ACRES, Savarese was Vice President at Indigo Asset Management, where he worked on bridge and mezzanine loans and the acquisition of distressed commercial real estate debt. He also co-managed Indigo’s commercial real estate loan portfolio with a focus on workouts and restructuring, compliance with loan documentation, and managing sponsor relationships.

Walker & Dunlop Hires Brooker in Southern California
Walker & Dunlop, Bethesda, Md., hired Levi Brooker as senior vice president in its Multifamily Finance group.

Based in the company’s Los Angeles, California office, Brooker is responsible for originating multifamily loans primarily through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD. 

Brooker has extensive experience structuring complex transactions including construction loans and loans with low income housing tax credits and tax exempt bonds. He has assisted in financing over $1 billion of multifamily transactions in his career.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Brooker served as senior vice president and loan officer in JLL’s multifamily lending division. He previously worked for Oak Grove Capital and its predecessors from 2004 until 2015, when the entity merged with JLL.
