Love Funding Names Murray Director of Originations
Love Funding, Washington, D.C., hired Kate Murray as a director of originations.
Murray will work from Tampa, Fla., on developing new business to feed the company’s bridge and FHA finance platforms.
Murray previously served as Deputy Director of HUD’s Office of Residential Care Facilities, where she helped develop HUD’s 232 LEAN loan insurance program. She left HUD in 2012 to become the FHA Closing Director at Prudential Mortgage Capital Co. She then moved on to provide consulting services for FHA borrowers and most recently served as an FHA loan originator at Centennial Mortgage.
HFF Expands Presence With Phoenix office
Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, expanded its western U.S. presence by opening an office in Phoenix, Arizona to focus on debt and equity placement as well as investment sales in the greater southwest region.
The new office becomes HFF’s 23rd U.S. location. HFF Senior Managing Director Jeremy Womack will manage the office. Scott Galloway, an Executive Managing Director and member of HFF’s executive committee, along with Kevin MacKenzie, a Senior Managing Director and member of HFF’s executive committee, will oversee the office opening and expansion.
CJ Osbrink, an investment sales specialist from HFF’s Orange County, Calif., office, will relocate to Phoenix.
CBRE Appoints Akins to Lead Multifamily Capital Markets Investment Sales Practice
CBRE Group, Los Angeles, announced that Christine Akins, a real estate executive with more 20 years of multifamily investment sales experience, was named Senior Managing Director of Multifamily for CBRE Capital Markets.
Based in Chicago, Akins will lead the firm’s multifamily investment sales practice in the Americas. She will oversee 175 multifamily investment professionals throughout the Americas.
Akins joined CBRE from LaSalle Investment Management where she held a Managing Director position. During her tenure at LaSalle, she was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring and closing multifamily acquisitions, totaling over $3 billion of assets throughout the U.S. including core, value-add and development opportunities. She also held the role of Fund Investment Officer for LaSalle Property Fund, where she assisted in raising $1.7 billion in equity for the launch of the firm’s flagship open-ended core fund.
