Bellwether Enterprise Hires Executive Vice President
Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital, Cleveland, hired Todd Harrop as executive vice president and national director of capital markets for market-rate products.
Harrop will be based in Bellwether Enterprise’s Columbus, Ohio, office and will oversee all of the company’s nationwide market-rate transactions.
Prior to joining Bellwether Enterprise, Harrop worked for 25 years at Nationwide Insurance, where he managed the firm’s commercial mortgage loan and mezzanine and equity originations as well as its commercial real estate portfolio totaling approximately $11 billion. He also supervised the company’s third-party loan participation program, loan servicing and real estate research.
Walker & Dunlop Grows Loan Origination Sales Force with Three New Hires
Walker & Dunlop, Bethesda, Md., hired a South Florida team to join its Capital Markets group.
Senior Vice Presidents & Managing Directors Kevin O’Grady, Daniel Sheehan and Eric McGlynn and their support staff, will work from Miami. As part of Walker & Dunlop’s Capital Markets group, the team will advise real estate owners and operators to arrange financing nationwide with institutional capital providers such as banks, life insurance companies and commercial mortgage-backed securities conduits. Together, they have closed more than $13 billion in structured financing transactions including identifying sources of equity, mezzanine lending, construction financing and portfolio recapitalizations.
O’Grady, Sheehan and McGlynn joined Walker & Dunlop from Cohen Financial, where they structured and placed equity and debt for real estate investment and development projects nationwide.
CBRE Elevates Lafitte and Frese to Global Group President Roles
CBRE Group, Los Angeles, promoted Mike Lafitte and Cal Frese to new positions as Global Group Presidents. These new positions represent the company’s senior-most global operating roles in its real estate services businesses and report to CBRE President & CEO Bob Sulentic.
Lafitte, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer, will serve as Global Group President of Lines of Business and Client Care. He will focus on developing CBRE’s service lines including its transactional, property, facilities and project management services. He will also handle the company’s Client Care initiative.
Frese, who previously served as CEO of the Americas, will serve as Global Group President of Geographies, with direct oversight of the Americas, EMEA and APAC. He will focus on CBRE’s geographic leadership team and the financial and operational performance of its global regions. He will also align Research and Marketing and integrating them with CBRE’s global operations.
