Greystone Appoints Senior Underwriter for Growing FHA Healthcare Deal Volume
Greystone, New York, appointed Kelly Cush Senior Underwriter in its FHA group.
Cush has more than 15 years of experience and has underwritten and closed more than $1 billion in HUD transactions. Prior to joining Greystone, Cush was employed for seven years with Housing & Healthcare Finance, LLC, a boutique FHA lender from Chevy Chase, Md., most recently serving as its Chief Underwriter. Before that, she worked with Red Capital as an FHA multifamily and healthcare underwriter for seven years.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Cush is certified as an Approved Underwriter in both HUD MAP and HUD LEAN transactions.
Berkadia Grows Houston Footprint with New Office, Team Expansion
Berkadia relocated its Houston operations to accommodate its growing team of investment sales and commercial lending experts. The Houston Berkadia team relocated from a 6,200-square-foot space at 2200 Post Oak Boulevard to an 18,000-square-foot office at 2229 San Felipe Street, Suite 1600, in October.
Berkadia’s Houston team has added nearly 30 new professionals over the past 18 months, warranting the more expansive office space for the larger team. Berkadia grew its Houston presence last year when it brought on debt and equity specialist Tucker Knight as Managing Director, and again early in 2016 when it hired Ryan Epstein and his eight-member multifamily investment sales team from a competitor.
Bellwether Enterprise Announces New Director of Equity Products
Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital, Enterprise Community Investment’s commercial and multifamily mortgage banking subsidiary, appointed Todd Johnson Director of Equity Products. He will be based in Bellwether Enterprise’s New Orleans office.
Prior to joining Bellwether Enterprise, Johnson was the founding and managing partner of Brush Island Capital, a boutique private equity real estate firm specializing in arranging institutional joint venture equity for real estate transactions and real estate operators throughout all markets. He primarily focused on transactions pertaining to multifamily developments, acquisitions and recapitalizations.
Before founding Brush Island Capital, Johnson worked for MINERVA Real Estate Investments where he led urban condominium development.
Robinson Joins Avison Young in New York City
Avison Young hired commercial real estate appraiser Michael Robinson in New York City.
Robinson became a Principal of Avison Young and will work with the New York office’s valuation and advisory group. He will offer appraisal and valuation consulting services for current company assignments and generate new opportunities on a wide range of property types.
Robinson brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience to Avison Young. Prior to joining the firm, he spent 20 years with KTR Real Estate Advisors in New York City.
Robinson began his career at Laventhol & Horwath and was later a part of the Chase Manhattan Bank real estate investment banking team before moving to KTR. He has appraisal and valuation experience involving a wide range of real estate, including office, retail, hotel, industrial, health care, multi-family residential and mixed-use properties.
