Berkeley Point Capital Hires Lundin as FHA Chief Underwriter
David Lundin joined Berkeley Point Capital as chief underwriter of the firm’s FHA lending operations. He will lead Berkeley’s underwriting team in underwriting and closing FHA multifamily and healthcare loans nationwide.
Lundin, a 25-year industry veteran, is a HUD-approved underwriter for refinance and construction financing of apartment properties under the MAP program as well as for healthcare properties under the LEAN program.
Prior to joining Berkeley Point Capital, Lundin founded and managed Hampden Park Capital LLC, a Massachusetts HUD-approved lender that specializes in non-profit affordable housing. He also served in various capacities at CWCapital LLC, including as deputy chief underwriter of CW’s national FHA platform and as senior manager of CW’s Northeast region. Lundin began his career at the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Boston, where he was a multifamily housing representative.
Cohen Financial Hires Two in Phoenix
Cohen Financial hired Kevin Sellers as director of capital markets and Krisie Holdaway as an associate in the company’s Phoenix office.
Prior to joining Cohen Financial, Sellers was the Arizona market president for First Fidelity Bank, where he led the Arizona commercial lending team and served on the senior management committee and senior loan committee.
Holdaway served as assistant vice president of capital markets at Walker & Dunlop LLC before joining Cohen. Prior to Walker & Dunlop she worked for Johnson Capital for more than 10 years, serving as vice president of commercial loan closing. She has closed more than $800 million in transactions since 2011.
Transwestern Adds Senior Associate Schmidt
Transwestern bolstered its Mid-Atlantic Multifamily Investment Services Group by adding Senior Associate Chaise Schmidt, who previously served on the firm’s Atlanta-based Multifamily Investment Services team.
In her new role, Schmidt is responsible for business development, transaction management, marketing initiatives, market research and managing client relationships.
Schmidt has served in Transwestern’s Atlanta office since 2010, where she assisted in the sale of more than 10,500 multifamily units valued at $500 million. Prior to joining Transwestern, Schmidt served as property manager with the Atlanta office of Colliers International, where she was solely responsible for overseeing a portfolio of shopping centers totaling more than 500,000 square feet with revenues of $4.4 million annually.
NGKF Capital Markets Adds Poe as Senior Managing Director
NGKF Capital Markets hired Michael Poe in the Debt and Structured Finance Group as senior managing director. He is based in the company’s Chicago office.
Poe has 18 years of underwriting and execution experience in commercial real estate finance, including DUS and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac agency lending.
Prior to joining NGKF Capital Markets, Poe served as president of Inland Commercial Mortgage Group, the commercial mortgage brokerage arm of The Inland Real Estate Group of Cos. (Inland Real Estate). Before joining Inland Real Estate, he was a principal at Mid-North Financial Services, a traditional correspondent commercial mortgage banking firm located in Chicago.
