Southern California Investment Sales Team Joins Berkadia

Berkadia, New York, added a multifamily investment sales team in California. The additions include two managing directors, Ed Rosen and John Chu, who previously served as executive directors for Cushman & Wakefield.

At Berkadia, Rosen and Chu will lead a team of three additional members in the company’s newly expanded San Diego office. Combined, their team completed the sale of more than 80,000 units with a value exceeding $12 billion. The five-person team brings with them more than 70 years of collective multifamily sales experience.

Rosen and Chu they have been ranked as top producers in the San Diego market for the past 20 years. They specialize in representating large, institutional-sized deals and completed sales of more than $1.6 billion over the past 36 months.

Team member Kyle Pinkalla joins Berkadia as a director and will concentrate on larger institutional grade assets. Erin Dammen, vice president, will assist with marketing and client relations. Tyler Sinks, associate director, will assist the team on mid- to large-size private capital assets in the greater San Diego area.

HFF Hires Arnold as Associate Director
Holliday Fenoglio Fowler announced that Patrick Arnold joined the firm as an associate director in its Atlanta office. He will be a member of HFF’s national loan sales group and will focus on evaluating and identifying loan sale opportunities throughout the U.S.

Arnold joins HFF from Mission Capital Advisors where he was a vice president for the commercial mortgage loan sales team. During his seven-year tenure at Mission, he was involved in $17 billion (unpaid principal balance) in loan sales through both standalone and multi-loan portfolio transactions. 

Hoeffel Joins Colony American Finance As CFO
Colony American Finance announced today that Christopher Hoeffel joined the company as chief financial officer, based in the company’s New York office. 

CAF provides acquisition financing and loans for investor-owned single family rental portfolios.

Hoeffel was most recently a managing director at Investcorp, where he led real estate debt investments including three high-yield debt funds. He also served as head of investment operations and investor relations for real estate and corporate investments in the U.S. and Europe.  He joined Investcorp from JP Morgan / Bear Stearns & Co., where he was a senior managing director and global co-head of commercial mortgages.
