Berkadia Hires Misner


Berkadia, New York, hired Keith Misner as head of investment sales based in its Bethesda, Md. office.

Misner brings more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry to Berkadia, where he will be responsible for accelerating the growth of its investment sales platform. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and portfolio manager at Abacus Capital Group LLC, a privately held investment fund firm focused on investing and developing apartment properties across the country. Previously, he was senior vice president of transactions at Aimco, a publicly traded apartment property REIT.

During his career, Misner has worked in senior leadership roles at Grubb & Ellis, CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield, where from 2003 to 2010, he was a national leader in apartment brokerage services.

Halpern joins JLL as Managing Director

JLL Capital Markets announced that Brian Halpern joined as a Managing Director, based in Los Angeles.

Halpern holds 25 years of commercial real estate finance experience and is tasked with securing debt and equity for all property types. He also specializes in facilitating equity joint ventures and other structured finance transactions. He will work to grow a robust team of finance professionals in Southern California along with Managing Director Chris Casey and Executive Vice President Reid McGlamery and recent hires, Senior Vice Presidents Kim Westerbeck and Zane Sweet.

Halpern has been involved with more than $10 billion in transactions. He joins the firm from a competing global real estate services firm and previously served as a loan officer for Charterhouse Investment Company.
