Mortgage Delinquencies Decrease Slightly in Second Quarter, MBA Reports

The delinquency rate for mortgage loans on one-to-four-unit residential properties decreased to a seasonally adjusted rate of 4.37% of all loans outstanding at the end of the second quarter, according to MBA National Delinquency Survey.

New York Fed: Household Debt; Mortgage Balances Decrease Slightly

Total household debt decreased by 0.1%, or $13 billion, in the second quarter to $18.8 trillion, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York reported last week. Mortgage balances declined by $74 billion.
