MBA: June New Home Purchase Mortgage Applications Increased 2.4%
The MBA Builder Application Survey for June shows mortgage applications for new home purchases increased 2.4% from a year ago. Compared to May 2026, applications decreased by 6%.
Redfin: Sellers Continue to Outnumber Buyers in June
Redfin, Seattle, reported there were an estimated 48.5% more home sellers than buyers in the U.S. housing market in June. While that points to an unbalanced market, it also is down slightly from 48.7% in May and a peak of 50.1% in December.
