Jobless Rate Rose in All 50 States in April, Labor Department Says

Nevada registered the highest unemployment rate in the U.S. last month at 28.2%, the Labor Department said Friday in a report detailing the impact of the new coronavirus and related lockdowns on the job market in all 50 states. The jobless rate rose in all 50 states and the District of Columbia last month, and 43 states recorded the highest level on record since 1976.
