HJ Sims Expands Investment Banking Team to West Coast
HJ Sims, Fairfield, Conn., opened a new West Coast office in Orange County, Calif., and hired Brady Johnson as Senior Vice President.
Previously with Hunt Real Estate Capital, Johnson was responsible for real estate debt originations for seniors housing and healthcare properties. He helped establish the firm’s seniors housing real estate lending platform, including a proprietary bridge loan program and expansion of the firm’s agency and HUD financing capabilities. Johnson closed the firm’s first Fannie Mae seniors housing loan, followed by its first seniors housing Freddie Mac loan.
Prior to joining Hunt, Johnson served as Director of Seniors Housing & Healthcare at RED Capital Group and served with GE Capital in various commercial finance roles.
Ingrum To Lead CBRE Office Institutional Investment Sales in Texas
CBRE, Los Angeles, announced Russell Ingrum will lead office institutional investment sales for CBRE Capital Markets in Texas.
Ingrum is returning to the region from the San Francisco Bay area, where he was a senior leader in the firm’s northern California Capital Markets team for the past eight years. He will be based in CBRE’s Dallas office.
Ingrum has closed more than 850 equity sales transactions in the U.S., consisting of 605 million square feet for a total consideration of $36 billion. He has consistently been a top national producer for CBRE in investment sales, representing some of the country’s largest equity/opportunity funds, life insurance companies and real estate investment trusts.
Berkadia Adds Senior Director to Investment Sales Team in Philadelphia
Berkadia today announced the addition of Senior Director Toby Booker to its Philadelphia investment sales team.
Booker joins Berkadia from The Michaels Organization, where he served as Vice President with a focus on developing opportunities in the student housing space. Throughout his career, he has worked with higher education and government clients to build sustainable residential communities. Booker has secured student housing projects valued at more than $1.5 billion with over ten thousand beds and military family housing valued at $4 billion with over forty thousand residential units throughout the United States. Prior to The Michaels Organization, Booker was Vice President of Partnership Development at the Corvias Group. He has also held roles at AVI Specialty Group and Balfour Beatty Investments, formerly GMH Communities Trust.
