Berkadia Adds Two New Directors
Berkadia added Directors Michael Gonzalez and Mark Meeker to its Investment Sales team.
Gonzalez joined Berkadia’s Austin, Texas office and Meeker works from Charlotte, N.C.
Gonzalez joined Berkadia from JLL, where he served as a Vice President of the Capital Markets Group specializing in multifamily client development and transactional advisory within the Austin marketplace having closed over $775 million in the past 12 months.
Meeker brings more than 20 years of combined commercial real estate investment and banking experience to Berkadia and will be responsible for developing investment sales opportunities in the Southeast with a focus on multifamily properties. He will be a part of Berkadia’s Atlanta Investment Sales team as well as the Charleston, S.C. team. Before joining Berkadia, Meeker served as Director of Business Development and Market Analytics at SYNCO Properties.
Hunt Brings UrbanView Real Estate Equity Platform
Hunt Capital Holdings, New York, announced Rachel Diller re-joined the firm as Senior Managing Director and Head of Private Real Estate Equity Strategies, bringing over her UrbanView Capital platform.
In this newly created role, Diller will build Hunt’s private real estate equity investment platform.
Prior to Hunt, Diller founded and was Managing Partner of UrbanView Capital, a specialist fund manager dedicated to sustainable real estate investing that invested independently as well as on the Bridges Fund Management platform. Before founding UrbanView, Diller was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in the firm’s Urban Investment, a principal investing platform that deploys capital to underserved domestic urban markets. While at Goldman, Diller was responsible for the group’s national lending and investing program, deploying capital into public-private financed projects worth over $1.5 billion.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, Diller was at Centerline Capital Group, where she led the affordable housing lending businesses and was responsible for financing over $1 billion of commercial real estate in 18 states. Diller began her career as a New York City Urban Fellow, developing transitional housing projects for New York City’s Department of Homeless Services, where she was the Director of Facility Planning and Development.
Joining Diller from UrbanView is Senior Vice President Michael Saadine.
CBRE Appoints Sheller Managing Director of its Global Investment Administration Group
CBRE, Los Angeles, named Jason Sheller Managing Director and Global Head of Business Development and Strategy of its Global Investment Administration group.
Sheller joins CBRE with more than 25 years of experience in sales and sales leadership, primarily in the alternative fund services space where he most recently served as Global Head of Alternative Fund Services Sales for Deutsche Bank before that business was sold.
