Kemmsies Joins JLL
JLL, Chicago, announced that Walter Kemmsies joined the firm as Managing Director, Economist and Chief Strategist for the U.S. Ports, Airports and Global Infrastructure Group.
In his new role at JLL, Kemmsies will execute initiatives for public and private sector clients who have interests in or properties proximate to seaports and airports throughout North America. He will also expand the U.S. Ports, Airports and Global Infrastructure Group’s expertise to the infrastructure sector and assist both public agencies and investors in underwriting, financing and evaluating new investment vehicles and opportunities.
Kemmsies was previously the Chief Economist for Moffat & Nichol, a global infrastructure advisement firm, where he directed market studies, financial analyses and global trade forecasts for projects ranging from strategic development plans for ports and terminal operators to mergers and acquisitions transactions. He is an advisor to executives at various port authorities and major transportation and manufacturing companies.
Prior to working with Moffatt & Nichol, Kemmsies was the Head of European Strategy at JP Morgan in London and, earlier, Head of Global Industry Strategy at UBS in Zurich and London. Kemmsies regularly contributes to the Federal Reserve’s Survey of Professional Forecasters and is an advisor to the Commerce Department’s Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness and the Department of Transportation’s National Task Force on Transportation Infrastructure Valuation.
Transwestern Taps Wittorf to Lead North Texas Operations
Transwestern named Paul Wittorf executive managing partner and market leader for the company’s North Texas operations, based in Dallas. He was also appointed to Transwestern’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Transwestern’s current market leader Jack Eimer will shift to a national leadership role as executive managing partner.
Since joining Transwestern’s Houston office in 2000, Wittorf has leased and marketed office buildings and new development opportunities for clients in every major submarket in the city. Earlier in his career, he focused on tenant representation for clients in a variety of industries.
Wittorf and Eimer will jointly transition their roles by July 1. Eimer will continue to serve on the firm’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors in addition to his new senior role targeting major growth initiatives.
Mondo Joins MetLife Investment Management as a Director in the Institutional Client Group
MetLife, New York, hired Michael Mondo as a director in the Institutional Client Group of MetLife Investment Management. He will focus primarily on insurance and healthcare companies.
Prior to joining MetLife, Mondo was with The Hartford Investment Management Co. for three years as an institutional client sales and service officer. In this role, he helped launch the company into the insurance asset management business and was responsible for sales and service for the firm’s most strategic asset management clients. He previously held institutional sales roles at Invesco Advisers LLL and JP Morgan Asset Management.
