MBA’s Davies Featured on MNN ‘Power Womnn with Class’

Mortgage Bankers Association COO Marcia Davies is featured this week on Power Womnn with Class with Christine Beckwith, a video series produced by Mortgage News Network.

Davies, who has served at MBA since 2011 and is founder of mPower (MBA Promoting Opportunities for Women to Extend their Reach), MBA’s networking platform for women in the real estate finance industry, spoke with Beckwith at the recent MBA Annual Convention & Expo.

Davies discussed her “accidental” entry into the mortgage industry; her early career at Freddie Mac, where she spent 21 years; with HUD, where she served as a senior advisor to then-FHA Commissioner David Stevens, CMB; and joining Stevens at MBA when he was appointed President and CEO.

“Never compromise your integrity; always do what’s right,” Davies said. “And work hard–not to prove that you’re a hard worker, but you need to deliver results.”
