Newmark, San Francisco, promoted two producers to Partners, Andy Bratt, based in Newport Beach, Calif., and Demetri Koston, based in Spokane, Wash.Bratt and Koston also joined the privately held company’s executive leadership committee. Both focus on structuring and placing debt across commercial real estate asset classes including office, industrial, multifamily, retail, mixed-use and self-storage properties.
Bratt has been active in commercial mortgage banking since 2004 and has been involved in nearly $800 million in loan transactions during his career. Transactions have included construction, bridge and permanent loans as well as joint venture structures.
Koston founded the firm’s Spokane, Wash., office in 2009. He specializes is bringing institutional lenders and programs to the Inland Northwest. As a Principal and Partner, Koston leads the company’s mortgage banking business serving local and regional real estate developers, investors, and asset managers interested in long-term fixed rate financing options secured by stabilized commercial real estate property of all types. Capital sources and programs include correspondent life insurance companies and pension funds, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, commercial mortgage-backed securities loans, banks, credit unions and specialty lenders.
Case Real Estate Capital Hires Cox
Case Real Estate Capital, Rochelle Park, N.J., hired Aysha Cox as a financial and investment analyst.
In this role, Cox will work with the firm’s finance and asset management teams in underwriting, valuing, closing and managing its investment portfolio.
Since its founding in 2013, Case has expanded its platform to surpass the $125 million mark in investments. The company is active as a high-yield private lender, a financier of transitional properties, a purchaser of performing, sub- and non-performing debt and a mezzanine and equity investor.
Prior to joining Case, Cox was a supervisor in asset management at Hudson Realty Capital, where she managed portfolio assets consisting of REO and NPL loans throughout the country, evaluated assets and compiled investor reporting.
Colliers International Appoints Borok Chief Operating Officer
Colliers International Group said Gil Borok joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. He will manage Colliers’ U.S. business operations and finances.
Borok spent the last 15 years in leadership positions within the commercial real estate industry, most recently at CBRE as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer.
