“This conference was created by servicers, for servicers,” Motley said. “We took advantage of a lot of feedback we got from servicers this past year and created a program that specifically addresses the concerns and the information needs that those servicers told us about.”

Motley said one difference this year involves a greater emphasis on disasters. “We have had a tremendous amount of disasters this past year, whether it’s flooding in Houston or Florida or fires in California and now mudslides,” he said. “All of these things have put a lot of stress on servicers on how to best deal with the circumstances of their individual customers.”
