Hurley to Join Marcus Partners as President
Marcus Partners appointed Shawn Hurley its President effective September 1.
Hurley will join Marcus Partners from Skanska USA Commercial Development, where he served as President and CEO.
As President and CEO of Skanska USA Commercial Development, Hurley managed the investment and development strategy in the U.S. with a focus on the growth and diversity of the portfolio. He led the effort in acquiring and developing 101 Seaport, a 440,000-square-foot office building in Boston anchored by PwC, which was sold in 2016.
Easton Joins Transwestern In Seattle
Transwestern announced David Easton joined the firm as Vice President in its Asset Services group. He will expand the firm’s agency leasing and asset services throughout the Puget Sound market.
During his 25-year career, Easton has focused others on property repositioning and leasing. Most recently, he served as partner at Madison Bay Commercial, where his team secured an indefinite duration, indefinite quantity contract with the Port of Seattle to support the port with all its real estate needs, including leasing, cost analysis, appraisals, sustainability and dispositions. Easton’s primary agency assignment with the Port of Seattle was at Harbor Marina Corporate Center, a 127,000-square-foot office and industrial campus, where occupancy now exceeds 98 percent.
While with Unico Properties, Easton assisted with the $48 million capital upgrade program throughout the University of Washington’s 1.6 million-square-foot Metropolitan Tract in downtown Seattle, strengthening the tract’s competitiveness against the growing Seattle market.
Newmark Knight Frank Hires Needleman
Newmark Knight Frank hired Brad Needleman, a 14-year industry veteran, as an executive managing director working from its New York headquarters.
As a tenant representation specialist with a focus on financial services firms as well as the TAMI (technology, advertising, media and information) sector, Needleman has completed transactions throughout New York City on behalf of investment banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, technology companies, advertising firms and other clients.
Prior to joining NKF, Needleman was a senior vice president at CBRE.
