Secure Your Access: Navigating FHA’s New Multi-Factor Authentication and Similar Requirements, July 9
About the Event
The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) has announced a critical security update requiring all FHA Connection (FHAC) users implement phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA) by July 28, 2025. This update is part of FHA’s effort to combat growing cybersecurity threats, including phishing attacks and credential theft, by strengthening protection for sensitive borrower and lender data. This change is not automatic, and each individual user must take action to complete the setup before the deadline. Meanwhile, various other regulators and best practices require or strongly suggest MFA and other measures to help combat the ever-growing threats that hostile actors pose.
Join this webinar to hear from experts about how this update affects lenders, servicers, underwriters, and other stakeholders involved with FHA-insured loans. Users who do not meet the MFA requirement by the deadline will lose access to FHAC, which may disrupt their ability to process or service FHA loans. Learn the steps you need to take to remain compliant and avoid service interruptions and how to weave these requirements into a holistic approach to cybersecurity for mortgage companies.
