MBA Opens Doors Foundation Welcomes Success Mortgage Partners’ Owen Lee, Philanthropist Mary Clarke Stevens to Board of Directors

The Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Opens Doors Foundation (Opens Doors) today welcomed Owen Lee, 2025 MBA Vice Chair and CEO of Success Mortgage Partners (SMP), and philanthropist Mary Clarke Stevens to its Board of Directors.

Opens Doors provides mortgage and rental assistance to families with critically ill or injured children, allowing parents and guardians to be by a child’s side during treatment, without fear of jeopardizing their home.

“It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Owen Lee and Mary Stevens to our Board of Directors,” said Debra W. Still, CMB, Vice Chair of Pulte Financial Services, and Opens Doors Foundation Chairman. “Owen’s longstanding commitment to Opens Doors and his passion for helping to keep families in their homes, and Mary’s extensive philanthropic background, will greatly enhance our work in support of the Opens Doors’ mission. We look forward to doing great things together.”

Lee was sworn in as MBA’s 2025 Vice Chair in October. He co-founded SMP with his father, Vincent, in 2002, and currently serves as CEO. Under his leadership, SMP has closed billions of dollars of mortgage loans yearly since 2016, is licensed in 42 states, and has more than 600 employees. Lee is also Managing Member of Title Partners, LLC, a full-service title insurance and escrow services agency.

In 2012, Stevens, her late husband, former MBA President and CEO David H. Stevens, and MBA member Dan Arrigoni launched Opens Doors with the mission of helping to keep families with critically ill or injured children in their homes while their child was in treatment. Since the Foundation’s inception, Stevens has played an active role in its efforts, has served on the grant review committee, and previously served on the Board of Directors.

Stevens has more than 40 years of philanthropic experience between volunteering and working at non-profits, and has made a profound impact through her unwavering commitment to creating positive change.

The Foundation works with 13 children’s hospitals in eight states and the District of Columbia and has provided more than 17,000 families from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam with housing assistance since 2011.
