MBA NewsLink: What are some key trends your company is tracking?

Sagent’s products are designed to modernize the servicing industry by incorporating real-time data updates, AI, and cloud-native open API ecosystems into Sagent products. Our commitment to adapting these technological advances keeps Sagent engaged with AI and data regulation across the country and at every level of government. Additionally, since our products seamlessly incorporate real time regulatory updates it is critical that we track these ever-evolving updates.

In addition to AI, Sagent is committed to supporting the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization’s (MISMO) mission to help the Federal Housing Agencies efficiently collect necessary servicing loan data to better serve borrowers experiencing financial difficulty, enable data-driven policy decisions, generate predictive analytics, and conduct oversight.

MBA NewsLink: Why did your company join the Mortgage Bankers Association?

The decision to join MBA was a simple one for Sagent to make. As the premier voice throughout the entirety of the real estate finance industry, MBA provides Sagent with a forum to engage and build relationships with peers across the industry and engage in meaningful MBA led educational opportunities.

Additionally, MBA facilitates opportunities for Sagent to share the technological progress we have made in our mission to revolutionize America’s $14 trillion mortgage servicing industry. These events allow us to highlight the unique value our services provide to our customers and partners.

By joining MBA, Sagent is given the opportunity to participate in advocacy efforts for the issues we care about most from AI to data standardization, alongside a unified strong voice in the industry. One way that we work to support those initiatives is our partnership with MISMO where we share the same goal to standardize servicing data. As part of these efforts, Sagent powers MISMO’s Federal Housing Agency Servicing Dataset Working Group. As an MBA member, Sagent is better able to support our customers, further advocacy efforts, and modernize the servicing industry.

Additionally, Sagent has been a key contributor to MBA advocacy efforts by hosting substantive MORPAC receptions. Sagent’s MBA Premier Membership has also provided Sagent team members the opportunity to participate directly in efforts to advance critical advocacy efforts, namely in Sagent Chief of Staff Matt Tully’s role as a MISMO board member.
