–Tell us about yourself
I currently work at Fannie Mae, helping our clients manage risk to promote a stronger, safer and more efficient housing finance system. I’m passionate about affordable housing, innovation and supporting more opportunities for homebuyers.
I’ve worked at Fannie Mae since 2015 and I’ve been lucky enough to hold various roles throughout my tenure, including in enterprise risk management and single-family products. I graduated from the University of Maryland (go Terps!) and I happily call DC home.
–How did you learn about the MBA Path to Diversity Program?
I noticed the Path to Diversity scholarship as I was researching MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking classes. These classes had always been on my radar; many of my colleagues had found value in them. My manager encouraged me to apply.
–Did you find the application process to be user-friendly?
Definitely. The process is very straightforward.
–How has the Path to Diversity scholarship benefited you, personally and professionally? What have you been able to bring back to your company as a result of the Path to Diversity program?
The Path to Diversity scholarship allowed me to complete School of Mortgage Banking III and in turn, achieve my Accredited Mortgage Professional designation.
In School of Mortgage Banking III specifically, I gained a broad and diverse network. As this class attracts attendees from all over the industry, I was able to make invaluable connections and expand my perspective. I still foster those connections to this day.
Beyond networking, the School of Mortgage Banking classes provided strong and comprehensive foundational knowledge of the mortgage industry.

Go for it! It is an amazing opportunity to advance your career through continuing education and expand your professional network. The scholarship is well worth the time investment.
