Jeff Pirhalla Joins Greystone Lending Team
Greystone announced Jeff Pirhalla joined as a Director for the firm’s Agency lending platform.
In this role, Pirhalla will focus on bank correspondent and lending relationships intended to drive volume for Greystone’s small loans and overall Agency lending platforms.
Pirhalla joined Greystone after five years at CBRE, where he founded the Wholesale and Bank Correspondent Lending divisions. His previous roles included National Accounts Manager for Sabal Financial, portfolio surveillance and risk analysis for Wells Fargo’s $600 billion CMBS and Agency loan portfolios and being instrumental in the expansion of several commercial real estate lending platforms for Impac Commercial Capital Corp, SunTrust Banks, and JPMorgan’s CMBS division. He will be based in Atlanta and in Charlotte, N.C.
Walker & Dunlop Expands Investment Sales Team with Acquisition of Student Housing Team
Walker & Dunlop, Bethesda, Md., expanded its property sales team by acquiring FourPoint Investment Sales Partners, a boutique brokerage firm specializing in student housing and conventional multifamily properties.
Located in Austin, Texas, the group includes Managing Directors Chris Epp and Chris Bancroft, Senior Director Kevin Dufour and Directors Matthew Chase, Craig Miller and Kyle Peco.
The FourPoint team will lead and scale the premier student housing investment sales practice in the United States for the Company. Walker & Dunlop originated $7.1 billion of student housing debt financing volume since 2016 and has consistently been ranked a top student housing lender nationally.
As licensed commercial real estate brokers since the early 2000’s, FourPoint Principals Chris Epp and Chris Bancroft enjoy the longest-tenured student housing brokerage partnership in the industry. Following successful careers at other nationally recognized brokerage firms, the pair founded FourPoint in 2014 with an emphasis on student housing investment sales and capital markets executions. Since inception, the firm has closed over $6 billion in property sales volume.
JLL Appoints Gilda Perez-Alvarado as Global CEO, Hotels & Hospitality
JLL, Chicago, promoted Gilda Perez-Alvarado to Global CEO of its Hotels & Hospitality Group to succeed Mark Wynne-Smith, who will continue as Global CEO of Valuation Advisory.
Perez-Alvarado will continue to lead the Americas along with her expanded global responsibilities. She will report jointly to JLL Global CEO of Capital Markets Richard Bloxam and Americas Capital Markets CEO Mark Gibson.
Perez-Alvarado will be responsible for driving global strategy for the overall sector, connecting the business to support cross-regional growth and overseeing the Asset Management and Strategic Advisory business lines. Additionally, Perez-Alvarado will lead ESG initiatives in hospitality, including commitments to diversity & inclusion and sustainability. She will also focus on enhancing the connectivity of the company’s Capital Markets teams in the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific, as global investor interest within the hospitality sector continues to rise.
